This game is so confusing

This is the worst chess app on here.

This app is good for the most part but it appears to be too overwhelming and cluttered. Set one designated area for the timer instead of two different places and provide some more camera views. Clean up the app please, it reminds me of a little kids bedroom!

I have four Chess apps on my phone and even with some glitches, this is by far the best one (play it every day). I only play it on the network though. Even though some of the names can be offensive and the language on the boards are not the best, if you are able to get past all that, its a very good game. I would recommend it to anyone who likes online opponents.

This App was great until it constantly started bringing me to the AppStore. Imagine playing a game and being brought to the AppStore in the middle of your move. Apparently its a way for the company to make $$ through clicks. Time to uninstall.

Stop to transfer me to simcity app when i am playing, i dont want to buy that.... I dont want this game any more...spam!! $$$$ all about click $$$$

This is a good app, the AI is decent, there are three view modes, and you have the option to save your game to return to it later. I would give it 5 stars, but what bothers me is that there is no option for the three fold repetition rule. Occasionally, the computer will make the same move back and forth over and over again ad infinitum, which is extremely annoying. Also, if the clock runs out, if a move is made within the last 30 seconds, the clock resets to thirty seconds ... That is fine if you are the one running out of time, but the AI can never run out of time? What gives?

Used to love this app now it keeps sending me to the App Store two or three times per game randomly, usually right at a decisive moment in the game. Very distracting.

I play chess on this app every day. I like it a lot, but for some reason recently in the last month or so, all the sudden it sends you to the App Store. Once I lost the game data over it when I tried to get out and go back to the game. This actually just barely happened which is why Im writing this review. Please fix it.

It looked promising at first until my opponent on their 3rd move took my pawn with their queen and yes that puts me in check but not check mate... I should have been able to move my king one space to take the queen but it didnt allow it, I lost my first and only match I will play on this app because of this

The chess program is pretty bad in my opinion. It effectively simulates a person who has no idea how to play chess but has memorized hundreds of responses to different positions. Also, it is glitchy. For example, once I even captured the opponents king using a queen. It just crashed and went back to my devices home screen. The only great part is the multiplayer, which is nice.

This truly is an amazing chess app for playing against people online. BUT PLEASE HELP! Whenever I play a game, my App Store keeps automatically opening up to random app downloads. I have to exit the App Store, and then go back to my game. This happens at least 10-15 times a game and is very disruptive. Please fix, I use this app all the time, every day.

1) An ever increasing number of players have learned to cheat the system. If a person is clearly going to lose, they will go out of the app and go into airplane mode/turn their data off/shut down their device in order to be able to adjourn the game without losing. My win loss ratio has greatly suffered because of this. There is no ability to report the player either. 2) occasionally the app will bring you to the App Store in the middle of a game. It is disruptive and a poor method of advertising. Besides that I love this app. Playing others live with a chess timer is so much fun and the app runs smoothly. But those two issues need to be fixed

Played for a while. Had several messages. It took me to a place where I was told that I had won. I then got a virus signal from my iPad.

There are so many people who cheat using an auto move program on here they really need to find a way to regulate it

It was working just fine but now it cannot connect to network, very rarely am able to connect I dont understand how can an iPhone app act like this?

Why does the app quit in between games, before I can start a game, right after I open the app? Theres pure lack of joy from attempting to play this game and I dont understand how others enjoy it. It confuses me completely and I wish I could have as much entertainment as everyone else. But I dont. Even after deleting and downloading it repeatedly.

*Used to be my favorite app* Youre frequently redirected to the App Store while in the middle of a move! Ive lost timed matches because of this and it creates a very frustrating experience for the user. Im obviously not the only one dissatisfied by this bullying and aggressive advertising practice!! If it is the advertisers that are redirecting the user to the App Store while the app is in use, then the developer should not be working with those advertisers. The redirecting practice is flat out abusive to the consumer.
